About FX Poll
FX Poll collects one thing: what traders say they did, and how it turned out. Every figure on the site is a tally of those reports. It is not a study, not a broker's data feed, and not a measure of the market.
How the figures are produced
- Everything is self-reported. A trade enters the tally when a visitor reports it. Nobody verifies it against a broker statement, and we have no way to. Treat every number on the site as “what people said”, because that is exactly what it is.
- The headline count is people, not trades. Where a page says how many traders reported something, that is a count of distinct browsers, not of reports. One person filing twenty trades moves the win rate but not the count of people.
- Thin combinations show nothing at all. Below 10 reporters a combination shows no figures, only how many reports it has. Breakdowns need at least 5 reports on each side. A combination is only put in front of search engines once 50 people have reported it and its win rate is statistically distinguishable from the wider set it sits inside — so a page exists only where it says something the page above it does not.
- Two kinds of report are kept apart. A trade reported after it closed and a trade registered before entry and reported at exit are counted separately, and shown side by side where both are numerous enough. We do not tell you which one to believe.
- Positions that were never reported closed are counted too. If a trade is registered before entry and no result ever arrives, it is marked unreported rather than quietly dropped, and that share is published. It cannot be closed retroactively — otherwise the unreported rate would be meaningless.
- Combinations go at most 4 deep. Beyond that the counts are too small to mean anything, so those views exist on the site but are never published as pages.
What this site will not do
- No advice. Nothing here is a recommendation, a signal, or a forecast. The calculators take the assumptions you type and report what follows from them arithmetically.
- No claim that anything works or does not work. Reported win rates are reported win rates. We will not tell you a method has an edge, and we will not tell you it does not.
- No rankings of companies, brokers or services. No sponsor can buy a placement that requires an editorial claim, and reported figures are never adjusted for anyone.
- No profiles, no leaderboards, no names. There is no account and no public identity. Showing off requires an audience, and an audience is what makes people inflate their numbers.
Trading carries risk and most retail accounts lose money. Nothing on this site is financial advice or an inducement to trade. The figures are self-reported by visitors, are not audited, and describe only the people who chose to report — not traders in general.
